During the Fall and Winter, travel can be tricky. The weather is unpredictable. The days are ending earlier. While a true golfer is willing to play rain or shine, people go on vacation for a reason—enjoy a new place while playing a game that they love. If you’re looking for a getaway this season that can (more than likely) give you a good weather forecast, these are a few top rated Resorts in the US.

Naples, Florida: Tiburon Golf Club—Ritz Carlton Golf Resort

At this beautiful resort, there are two courses designed by Greg Norman. It is always in excellent shape as professional events—like the LPGA CME Championship coming up, November 15-20, 2016—are held here regularly. There are various tee boxes that can accommodate any player. Golf aside, there is a restaurant—complete with an enormous yet delicious daily breakfast buffet— a café, and poolside grill at your convenience. Down the street from the Golf Resort, available by a complementary shuttle, is the Ritz Beach Resort. There, you will find a beautiful beachside hotel, including a notable spa facility where you can easily spend an entire day, if you decide golf is not on the agenda.

Kiawah Island, South Carolina: Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Kiawah is made famous for it’s Ocean Course hosting the 1991 Ryder Cup and multiple PGA Championships. Blessed with its gorgeous seaside location, there are various golf courses for its guests to choose from. With the Ocean Course as its famous older brother, Ospry Point Course is a hidden treasure. It is one of the top courses in America for its reasonable price tag. The Tom Fazio design is a Links Style course with unique kinks and photo ready scenery on every hole. There are opportunities to make risky plays, but it’s also straight forward enough to play it safe. The Resort has a state of the art Spa Facility with many unique treatments to choose from, if you’re tired of the basic Swedish massage. After your round, drive over to the Ocean course and eat at one of its many restaurants and watch the sunset over the 18th green.

Palm Springs, California: Indian Wells Country Club

Part of the Club Corporation, All golfers who are members of a Club Corp course throughout the country can play this course for the low price of a Cart Fee. There are Indian Wells hotel resorts nearby that work in conjunction of the golf course. Indian Wells has two courses; The Cove Course is much easier with wider fairways, yet just as scenic as The Classic Course. Both courses wrap around the rocky mountainside, throughout. With palm trees and desert vacation homes bordering the fairways, you never forget that you are in Palm Springs.
