Jordan Spieth Is Going Through a 'Hard' Courses During This Season So Far

Jordan Spieth opens up about the struggle with golf course hardness.
In a brief interview with CBS, Spieth recently indicated that he has found the PGA Tour golf courses to be more difficult than usual. The golfer further noted that this may not be the case in the US Open because he has previously played the competition, and there are many newcomers who may not know how to tackle the course front on.
"No, frankly, we have played probably 12 US Opens this year, it has felt like," he stated. "The courses have been brutally hard this season. It’s kind of nice."

Jordan Spieth claimed that he knows how to approach the US Open.
"It’s nice to have already played it before in a US Open. That limits the field down to a lot less people who were actually there. I kind of know what to expect heading into it, I guess, as far as what it is going to require," the 2015 US Champion added.

Jordan Spieth explained how a golfer should approach the US Open.
In his interview with CBS, Spieth also discussed how many players are perplexed by the bigger fairways and tighter greens, as well as how to play on them. The golfer stated unequivocally that at the US Open, everyone must become increasingly tight so that the game they present is always their best.
"It seems like that will be the route," the golfer stated. "I remember the greens, but hitting on those, you started working on a bit more touch and finesse and chipping and stuff like that. There’s definitely a bit more work as you get closer to the green. When you are preparing for a US Open, you have to be a bit tighter."
