We’re taking an in-depth look at what clubs 2022 AIG Women’s Open champion Ashleigh Buhai used to claim her piece of LPGA tour victory.

After 15 years on the tour and a 72-hole tournament that resulted in a four-hole playoff with three-time champion In Gee Chun, Buhai prevailed victorious.

“In Gee is a major champion, and I knew I had to go out and win it. I mean, 18 played so tough the whole week, so it was going to be a grind and then it started to get cold and windier,” remarked Buhai after clinching the victory. “I was just very proud of how I managed to stay focused on myself and try to do what I needed to do.”

Buhai started her final round at Muirfield with a five stroke lead at 14-under. After two bogeys and a birdie on the front nine, Buhai’s lead diminished to three strokes as she took to the back nine. A triple bogey on No.15 allowed Chun a prime opportunity to tie Buhai while also taking shot at the solo lead.

The back nine resulted in a sudden-death playoff between Chun and Buhai that took place over four holes. After a bunker shot on No.18 that seemed to have shaken Buhai, a clutch shot that resulted in a 3-foot put would end with Buhai bursting into tears as her putt was drained and solidified her hard-fought victory over Chun.
