Danielle Kang’s Golf Clubs
As a Titleist sponsored athlete, Kang uses a plethora of the brand’s clubs in here bag. Here’s the breakdown.
Driver
Kang uses the Titleist TSi3 to give her distance and accuracy on the fairway. Kang’s driver is fitted with a 9° loft and features a Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black 5th Gen 55 R shaft.
Fairway Woods
As the saying goes, if you like it, buy it in every color. Kang uses two models of TSi3 Fairway Woods at lofts 13.5° and 18°. While the exact shafts are unknown, Kang uses lomic grips on each.
Hybrid
Hybrid clubs are crucial for tricky shots on the green. For Kang, she uses the Titleist 818H2 Hybrid club at a 23° loft, when she needs distance but control over her swing’s power. The hybrid club was designed to give golfers a steeper delivery of the ball while remaining compact in design, similar to that of an iron.
Irons
Similar to the 818H2 Hybrid club that debuted back in 2017 when Kang was first making a name for herself, her irons are also an older Titleist model. But it it’s not broke, why fix it? Kang uses the Titleist 716 CB irons from a five-iron down to a nine-iron in her bag.
Wedges
Throughout our What’s In My Bag series, a common club has appeared time and time again for various professional golfers: the Titleist Vokey series wedge. Following suit, Kang carries the Vokey SM7 series wedges at 46°, 50° and 54° lofts. Lastly, Kang uses a 58° Vokey WedgeWorks prototype for the final wedge in her bag.
Putter
Scotty Cameron is the putter brand of choice for Kang. Her putter is the prototype Special Select Squareback 2 club, which features a blade-like design comparable to the Scotty Cameron Newport series. Before switching to the prototype, Kang utilized another Scotty Cameron model, the TFB 1.5 Teryillum which featured a mid-mallet head.
